CSSD BOE organizes for 23-24: Douglas president, Fischmann VP, sets meeting dates

The Central Square School District Board of Education held its Organizational Meeting Wednesday, with three members taking their oaths of office and officers being elected for the 2023-24 school year.

Casey Morey was elected and Kristy Fischmann and Steven Patch were re-elected to the CSSD board during May’s annual budget vote and BOE elections. The trio took their oaths of office for their three-year terms through June 2026.

Allison Douglas was elected by the board to serve as its president for 2023-24, and Fischmann was elected as the vice president. The rest of this year’s board includes Randy Hoyt, Chance Nickerson, Steven Patch, Kenneth Sherman and Lorraine Wood.

The following BOE meetings were scheduled for 6 p.m. at Paul V. Moore High School throughout the school year: Aug. 7; Aug. 23 (Special Meeting/Tax Warrants); Sept. 11; Oct. 10; Nov. 6; Dec. 4; Jan. 8; Feb. 5; March 12; April 8; April 18 (BOCES Budget Vote/Special Meeting); May 13 (Public Hearing/Regular Meeting); June 3. The BOE will also meet May 22, the day after the annual budget and BOE elections, at 4 p.m. as a special meeting to certify the vote.

Special meetings and BOE budget work sessions can be scheduled by the board as needed. The schedule, any changes and meetings added can be found via the district website, CSSD.org.
