Primary Work Activities

    • Acts as Data Coordinator and Data Protection Officer.
    • Acts as District Technology Committee Chair.
    • Acts as District Instructional Software Review Chair.
    • Responsible for the leadership of technology as an accelerator for advancing educational learning environments and system efficiencies.
    • Responsible for the leadership, development, implementation and evaluation of the District’s Educational Technology Plan.
    • Provides leadership as a member of the Strategic Action Leadership Team in facilitating the implementation of the District’s Strategic Plan.
    • Provides direct supervision of the Technology Department staff including Network Administrator, Senior Computer Specialists, LAN tech, AV Repair, and Technology Integration Coaches, and SysOps. 
    • Serves as Library Department Coordinator.  
    • Collaborates with the Executive Directors of Curriculum, Learning and Assessment, School Business Administration and Human Resources to ensure accuracy in the cleansing, populating, reporting and verification of data in the development, implementation and monitoring of the District data.
    • Supervises all activities pertaining to social media and website development.
    • Collaborates with the appropriate administration in providing leadership for the review, selection, procurement, implementation and support of technology tools and software applications to support instructional and operational needs of the District. 
    • In collaboration with the Director of Facilities, overseas telephone services. 
    • Coordinates projects and grant procurement relating to student learning initiatives and organizational development such as Smart Schools Bond Act.
    • Facilitates and provides leadership in collaboration with Executive Cabinet members the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of grants to comply with federal and state mandates and to support District goals.
    • Provides support in collaboration with the Executive Cabinet for achieving District goals, cultivating a culture of continual improvement through high expectations, support, monitoring, accountability and evaluation.
    • Collaborates with the School Business Manager and the Executive Cabinet members in preparation of the school district budget and its alignment with the District’s Strategic Plan.
    • Attends all Board of Education meetings.
    • Continuously improves communication between the District and the community through the use of digital tools and oversees the CiTi Public Relations department. 
    • Attends all relevant regional meetings and professional development and communicates important information back to relevant personnel. 
    • Serves as a member of the Executive Cabinet. 
    • Works closely with the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Personnel to resolve any personnel issues within the department. 
    • Assumes other related duties as a member of the Executive Cabinet at the direction of the Superintendent.
