Central Square Winter Drumline
The Central Square Winter Drumline is open to all High School students who participated in the Field Band program. Select middle school students who participated in Field Band and the CSMS Winter Percussion Ensemble may also be invited to participate. Students do not need to be percussionists to participate. Drumline is an activity highlighting marching, musicality, and performance in the percussion world. The season runs from November through the first week of April, with the competitive season beginning in January/February. Central Square Middle School Winter Percussion Ensemble
This percussion ensemble is open to students in band or chorus in grades 6-8. Students will perform on a predetermined show on a variety of percussion and keyboard instruments (vibes, marimba, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, bells, floor toms, etc). Students do not need to be percussionists to perform in the group, all music students are welcome. Attendance is mandatory at rehearsals and competitions. 2 unexcused absences may result in dismissal from the ensemble. The CSMS Winter Percussion Ensemble competes in the NYSPC Cadet Concert class and attend approximately 4-5 competitions a season, including the NYSPC State Championships.
