Employment Opportunities

The Food Services Department is always accepting applications for employment.  The procedure Food Services uses for making recommendations for full and part time positions almost always comes from an established substitution list.  Once an applicant completes his or her requirements for hire, Food Services places them on a list to call as the need for a sub becomes necessary.

The positions that Food Services frequently needs substitutes for are as follows: servers, dish machine operators, and cashiers.  There is an established training process that is made available to all new staff as well as substitutes.

The Central Square Food Services Department has eight different buildings of which a substitute may be called for.  The more buildings you are willing to work at the greater your chances of being called to work more frequently.  The substitute rate of pay for Central Square Food Service workers is $7.25 per hour and if appointed to a permanent full time or part time position the rate of pay is $10.21 per hour.

Requirements to complete the application process are as follows:

1. Completely filling out the application by clicking on the employment application link below.
2. Securing 3 letters of reference.  NO application will be under consideration until all 3 letters are returned.
3. Complete the finger printing process, which is required by law and must be paid at your expense at the time of fingerprinting.
4. All applicants must be board approved prior to beginning work.
5. Food Services will always call you to come in for an informational meeting prior to beginning work.
