    A Day

     

    Class of 2027:  Attention Sophomores – We are selling Kandied Kernel Popcorn for our very last fundraiser of the year.  People love popcorn and the prices are great!  Please take pride in your class and make this fundraiser the best yet!  All forms and money need to be turned in to Ms. Blakes in room G008 or Mrs. Hawn in room G006 by May 16th.

    Class of 2025:  Attention Seniors – If you plan to attend Senior Fun Day on June 6th, you need to complete a Field Trip form.  Forms are available in the Dry Café, Main Office, and in rooms G006 and G008; and must be completed & turned in by May 21st.

    Class of 2028:  Class of 2028, your current fundraiser is up and running.  See Mrs. Dristle in room 2220 to get your box of chocolate-covered pretzels to sell!

    Unified Basketball:  The Unified Basketball team is back for the Spring season, starting Monday, May 12th at 4:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.  We will be hosting the Fulton Red Dragons!  The games are always fun to watch and there will be a variety of ways to get involved; from music to a “Duck Toss” for prizes during half-time (including a special duck toss for Teacher Appreciation week).  Admission is free and cheering is guaranteed!

    Art Department:  Attention students - May’s Art Club activity will be Rock Painting with Mrs. Lacey on Tuesday, May 20th.  You may sign up with any Art teacher.  Art Club runs until 5:00 p.m.  Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

    The Flock:  Attention students who will be Juniors or Seniors next school year - if you would like to be a Flock officer, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 13th, in the Auditorium during Advisement.  This is a great way to get involved with your school and show your spirit.  Scan the QR code posted around the building to apply!

    Student Government:  Want to showcase your talent?  Whether it’s singing, dancing, or acting…now’s the time!  This year’s Talent Show is being held on Wednesday, May 28th, and you can still sign up.  Click the link on the Central Square Student Government Instagram page or scan the QR code posted around the building to sign up.  Prizes will be awarded to the winning acts.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to win big and take the title of Talent Show Champion.

    Career Center:

    Internships:

    Attention seniors – there will be a few internships offered for the summer.  One with the AIA Architect Summer Program and the other with the Office of Senator Chris Ryan.  Please refer to Canvas or stop by the Career Center for more information.

    Volunteer Opportunities:

    • Millard Hawk Elementary – High School students are needed to help with their after-school Art/PE/Spanish Clubs on Tuesdays during the month of May
    • Millard Hawk Elementary Family Night – Thursday, May 29th
    • Hastings Mallory Elementary Family Picnic – Wednesday, June 4th
    • JV/Varsity Baseball & Little League Concession Stand help

    Seniors – your Volunteer hour information is due no later than Monday, May 12th.  If you have any questions, stop by the Career Center.

    College Planning:

    Seniors – we will be offering “Instant Admit” days for students who have not yet applied to college, but would like to do so.  Assistance will also be offered to accepted students who would like to build their schedules.  These sessions will be held in the Senior café during Advisement & lunches.  Colleges being represented are:

    • Onondaga Community College – Thursday, May 15th
    • Cayuga Community College – Monday, May 19th

    Field Trips:

    • CiTi BOCES Armed Forces & Public Safety Expo – Friday, May 9th

    We will be offering the ASVAB exam on Wednesday, May 21st at 8:30 a.m. and again at noon.  This is used for Career Exploration as well as Military entrance.  Please stop by the Career Center for more information.
