      C Day

       

      Psychology Class:  Mrs. Vecchio’s Psychology classes are collecting donations of birthday cake supplies for our district’s Backpack Program!  We want every child in our community to have the chance to celebrate their birthday, and we’d love your support in spreading the word and contributing, if you are able.  Suggested items include:  boxed cake mix, canned frosting, disposable cake pans, birthday candles, and sprinkles.  If you are able to donate, please bring supplies to room 2204.  Thanks!

      DECA:  Join us for our DECA promotional night at Rancho Viejo today, Friday, November 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  Come enjoy a great meal and help support our DECA Chapter.  A portion of the proceeds will go toward funding our competitions and activities.  Bring your friends and family to show your support by helping us reach our goals.

      DECA Testing Week is December 1st through December 5th.  Please be prepared by using DECA Plus.  This is an important opportunity to show what you’ve learned and advance in your DECA event.  Make sure you arrive on time, are well rested, and are ready to do your best.

      Polar Plunge:  Attention students and staff – it’s that time of the year again.  For the 3rd year in a row, Central Square will have an official team in the Oneida Shores Polar Plunge!  The Plunge will be held on December 7th, and all proceeds go to NYS Special Olympics to support students in our district.  Last year, we were the school district that raised the most money and won the Cool School Challenge.  We want to defend our title, and raise even more money this year.  Check your Class Canvas page or stop by room 1030 and see Mr. Kline.

      Students & Staff participating in the Polar Plunge – we have many ‘plungers’ signed up to take the plunge, but many have not raised any money yet.  As an incentive, those team members that go from $0 raised to the highest amount raised today, Friday, November 21st will receive a Tully’s gift card.  Also, please check the email you signed up with regularly for important information and updates.

      Career Center:

      ASVAB

      We will be administering the ASVAB exam in the Career Center on Monday, December 8th.  There will be two sessions, one at 8:00 a.m. and one at noon.  This is used for career exploration, as well as a Military entrance, and is given to students in grades 10 through 12.  If you are looking to enter any branch of the Military after high school, it is highly recommended to take the ASVAB as early as possible.
