      D Day

       

      Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity Cross-Country:  The Varsity Boys’ and Girls; Cross-Country teams competed at the Section III XC Championships recently.  The top 5 finishers for the Girls’ team were:  Kadence Williams, Stella Brancaccio, Saige Hayden, Ella Puchalski, and Tessa Weeks.  For the Boys’ team, the top 5 finishers were:  Hunter Butera, Daniel Flynn, Christopher Pulis, Vann Andrews, and Luke Wilson.  Congratulations to Kadence Williams who placed 5th overall and earned a spot to compete at the State Championship Meet on Saturday, November 15th.  Congratulations also go to Kadence Williams and Charlie Raymond as they will be signing with their colleges today.  All the Cross-Country runners had an outstanding season!

      Girls’ JV Basketball:  Any girls trying out for the JV Basketball team are invited to Open Gym today, Wednesday, November 12th and tomorrow, Thursday, November 13th from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

      Yearbook:  Attention Seniors – check your school email for important information about Senior Favorites, and the Senior Portrait proof from Yearbook.  Responses are due no later than today, Wednesday, November 12th.

      Boys’ & Girls’ Indoor Track and Field:  Do you want to better yourself athletically, develop speed, strength, and endurance?  If so, join the Boys’ & Girls’ Indoor Track and Field team.  Sign-ups are now open on Family ID.  Sign up now to be eligible on the first day of practice on November 17th.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Wasacz in room 1180.  Open Weight Room sessions for Indoor Track and Field athletes will start today, November 12th, after school, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.  To attend, you must have your own transportation home.

      Varsity Cheerleading:  There will be Open Gym today, Wednesday, November 12th and tomorrow, Thursday, November 13th from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at CSI for anyone interested in trying out for the team.  Come out to meet the Coach and get ready for our Winter season.  No experience is needed.  We look forward to seeing both new and returning faces for a great season!

      Class of 2029:  Attention Freshmen – we are selling yummy fruit and cream pies from Geddes Bakery.  The pies will be here before Thanksgiving, and are a big hit this time of year.  Sell to your family and friends.  All orders and money are due to Ms. Blakes in room G008 or Mrs. Hawn in room G006 tomorrow, Thursday, November 13th.

      Polar Plunge:  Attention students and staff – it’s that time of the year again.  For the 3rd year in a row, Central Square will have an official team in the Oneida Shores Polar Plunge!  The Plunge will be held on December 7th, and all proceeds go to NYS Special Olympics to support students in our district.  Last year, we were the school district that raised the most money and won the Cool School Challenge.  We want to defend our title, and raise even more money this year.  Check your Class Canvas page or stop by room 1030 and see Mr. Kline.
