Redhawks Girls Lacrosse Program Announces New Coaches

The Central Square Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of three new coaches to the women’s lacrosse program.
The varsity coaching position will be taken over by Ms. Suzie Gray who has been with the program in the role as varsity assistant for the last several years. Gray, who is a Central Square graduate, played collegiately at Nazareth College and has been a mainstay in the program serving not only as the varsity assistant coach but also as the president of the Rising Redhawks youth program. Gray has shown continued commitment to the program and we are very excited to see her passion and energy on the sidelines in her new role.
Assisting Coach Gray will be Mrs. Kristin Stratton. Coach Stratton attended Churchville-Chili high school and played four years collegiately at Liberty University. After graduating from college, she coached at both Marist College and Binghamton University. She also has experience as a certified lacrosse official.
Taking over as the JV head coach is Mrs. Ashley Egerter. Coach Ergerter grew up on Long Island and played both HS and travel lacrosse in very competitive programs. She attended Hartwick College to play lacrosse and although both injury and the pandemic cut into her experience, she completed four years in the program as a player and player/coach. Coach Ergerter currently works as a school psychologist at Paul V. Moore High School. Coach Ergerter will be assisted by Ms. Lauren Pacelli, who will continue in her role in the program as the assistant JV coach.
"We are extremely excited for the program and are hopeful that our coaches will continue to provide an upward trajectory for the girls," said CSSD Director of Health, Physical Education & Athletics Jamie Grimshaw.
All coaches will become official after approval from the BOE and all certifications have been completed and parents should look for more information later in the summer.
