Paul V. Moore High School Educator Highlights Student Life Through ‘Redhawk Productions’

Redhawk Productions, a Paul V. Moore media initiative created in the fall of 2022, continues to showcase student involvement, athletic achievements, extracurricular activities, and major school events across Central Square, New York.
Founded by Luke Alberts, a history teacher at Paul V. Moore High School, the channel covers marquee moments throughout the academic calendar, including homecoming festivities, senior class spotlights, and postseason athletic runs.
"Redhawk Productions was created to highlight the many different things our students are involved with throughout the academic year," Alberts said. "From sectional and state championships to homecomings and senior class highlights, we have been able to show so many wonderful moments in the Square over the last few years."
Alberts first developed his videography skills during his undergraduate studies at Le Moyne College under the instruction of Professor Bryan Cole. What began as a class project documenting a 2018 study abroad trip to Greece has since grown into a comprehensive media collection for the school community.
While Alberts handles the primary filming and editing, the operation relies on collaboration across the building. Yearbook advisors Kim and Lorelei Lacey regularly assist with equipment loans, while other faculty members and students provide creative feedback and participate on camera. In recent productions, students have taken on larger roles in the preproduction phase, including writing and recording voiceovers.
"I may be the one behind the lens recording, but it truly cannot be done without the support and help of our staff and students," Alberts added. "It is a team effort to capture these memories for the Central Square community to enjoy."
