School Improvement

  • In the Spring of 2019, the Central Square District was informed that due to failure to make growth for sub groups of students, the Central Square Middle School would be subject to an ESSA/SED review.

In May 2019, a team consisting of a representative of SED, an outside educational consultant from SED, a consultant hired by the district, and our Assistant Superintendent went through the review process. The process included classroom visitations, and interviews with 3 different stakeholder groups: student, parents, and teachers.

Prior to the end of the visit, "Quick Wins" and Short Term Priorities" were shared with the building principal. A copy of this portion of the visit can be found at the bottom of this page.
