Participation
& Preparedness
– 60 points (divided
evenly between number of class meetings)
Excellent
-Student consistently plays energetically, shows self-control,
demonstrates fair play and respects safety and the positive experience of
others. Shows leadership and can
resolve conflicts without intervention.
Above
Average
-Student plays energetically, with self-control and respect for fair
play, safety and the positive experience of others.
Average
-Student maintains self-control and shows respect for safety and the
positive experience of others but may do so inconsistently.
Note: If student chooses not
to participate in a warm-up activity or
any part of the lesson this is the maximum allowed points for that day.
Below
Average
-Student lacks self-control at times and needs reminders from the teacher
and others to play in a safe and appropriate way.
*Being
absent or unprepared results in receiving a zero for participation and
preparedness for that day
Content
Knowledge Evaluation
– 20 points
Students
will be given a written quiz or evaluation for each unit of instruction.
Skill
Evaluation
– 20 points
During
each unit students will be evaluated on specific skills relative to that unit
of instruction .
