The Paul V. Moore DECA Chapter is working with Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association, a non-profit animal shelter in Canastota, to raise awareness in our school about adoption and shelter animals. Our chapter members worked with the Volunteer Coordinator at the shelter to allow students to volunteer at various shelter events, such as the Adoptathon, where over 50% of the animals were adopted. In addition, our school has been supportive in our efforts by donating blankets, food, leashes and money to the shelter.
