Editor
Signs Off
This
will be my last issue as editor of Campus & Career View.
This newsletter was created in 1999 to highlight college and career
information and the programs and services of the new
Career
Center
that was included in the last renovation of
Paul
V.
Moore
High School
.
Having a resource for career planning, I believe, is vital for our
students, parents and community members.
It is my hope that the
Career
Center
will continue to thrive in the years ahead and will be updated with advances in
technology to better serve our students, staff and community.
Beginning with the second semester, the
Career
Center
will be under the direction of guidance counselor Tim Wales.
Mrs. Debbie O’Mara will continue to staff the
Career
Center
on a daily basis.
As always, the
Career
Center
will be available to assist teachers with classroom projects related to career
research.
Students should be encouraged to take advantage of this great resource to
investigate opportunities for future education, training and careers.
As I sign off, I would like to thank the English department for helping
to introduce our students to the services of the
Career
Center
through the tenth grade career research project.
I would also like to thank Mrs. Debbie O’Mara for her daily efforts in
coordinating
Career
Center
activities.
Finally, I want to acknowledge Mrs. Laurel Haller for her skill in
formatting Campus & Career View and putting the information contained in the
newsletter into print and online for readers to enjoy.
I wish all our readers the best of luck in all your future endeavors.
