This state-approved program is offered by the Business Department to allow students to explore a career in depth through actual job site work experience.  Students work under the supervision of a mentor and must accumulate a minimum of 54 hours at the work site in order to qualify for course credit.

Students enrolled in an internship also meet with a business teacher for one period per four-day cycle to complete class work that enhances and supports the internship experience.

Students may earn either 1/2 or 1 credit for a single internship experience.

An internship is a great way for students to learn some real world experiences and relate what they have learned in school to the world of work.  An internship can make planning for post-secondary education more meaningful or can facilitate decision making that leads directly to employment upon high school graduation.
