More than ever before, it is important for high school students to make a smooth transition between high school and post-secondary education programs.  Students who chose challenging academic courses while completing high school, including higher education coursework, are able to adapt to post-secondary study more easily.  Career development experiences in high school can also enhance a successful transition to college, technical school, or military training.  Students who enter post-high school settings ready to meet their demands can minimize the risk for attrition are more likely to meet their goals in a timely fashion.

Paul V. Moore High School has numerous programs to prepare students for the transition to post-secondary study.  Students can take advantage of these as early as their junior year.  Some of these programs will allow students to earn college credit while attending high school.  This can provide numerous benefits including:
