Dear Students and Parents,
I was so excited to find out that we would be spending the school year together. It's going to be an exciting one! Do you like dinosaurs? Spiders? Penguins? Those are a few of the things we'll be learning about. We'll be helping to run the Wee Deliver Post Office this year too. I can hardly wait to get started!
To help start our year I would like to give you a task that I hope will be fun for you and your family. With your family's help, please make a time capsule from an oatmeal box, coffee can, or any round container. Decorate the outside to let us know who you are and what you like to do (pictures you've drawn, photos, stickers, beads, etc.) We will add to this each month of the year and by the year's end we will see how you've grown and you will have a keepsake of all the fun things we will do this year. This can be brought with you on the first day of school and it will also help us to learn about our new class family quickly.
If you are out shopping before school starts and you would like to pick up a few supplies, this is a list of what you will need. However, if you do not do this before school starts, don't worry. We have extras here and we're willing to share until you can get them! Here goes:
Throughout the year I will try to send reminders when supplies are getting low and I may ask for an additional item or two for special projects.
