NEW BOARD MEMBER ORIENTATION

The Board of Education and the Administrative staff shall assist each newly elected Board Member to become familiar with and to understand the Board's functions, policies and procedures, and the school district's operation.  Each Board member-elect shall, as soon as possible;

1.          Be invited and encouraged to participate in the New School board member Orientation Program offered by the Central Square Central School District.

2.          Be given materials covering the function of the Board and the School District.

3.          Be invited to attend Board of Education Meetings and receive agendas, to become familiar with Board Meeting operations.

4.          Be invited, and encouraged to participate in the New York State School Board Member Orientation Programs offered by the Central New York School Boards Association and the New York State School Boards Association. The Board of Education will financial support this participation.
