Paul V. Moore High School
Career Exploration Internship Program
Coordinator: Mr. John Brough
This program began in 1998 to provide students out-of-school opportunities to learn about a variety of occupations within a broad career cluster. Students will gain first-hand understanding and appreciation of the knowledge, skill, and education requirements necessary for various occupations. Students will be introduced to positive adult role models who exemplify positive work habits and attitudes.
Students who are in grades 11-12 and are at least 16 years of age may enroll in this program for 1 unit or 1/2 unit of high school credit depending on the amount of time they devote to this class and this experience.
Work sites are assigned depending on the student's interest areas. Students must provide their own transportation to the job site.
Students who participate in this program gain valuable skills that will help them in their future schooling and careers.
