Dewey Decimal System

The Dewey Decimal system organizes and groups the books in the library into the same subjects to make it easier to find the books on the shelves. The Dewey Decimal System uses a combination of letters and numbers for the call number.

The Dewey system is organized into the ten main classes below:

000 Generalities
100 Philosophy and Psychology
200 Religion
300 Social Science
400 Language
500 Natural Science and Mathematics
600 Technology (Applied Sciences)
700 Arts
800 Literature
900 Geography and History
